Hello everyone…i have this unusual scenario :

My cousin gave me his RB941 Haplite router because to him it was already broken. The reset button at the back is no longer functioning and the IP address on the router is 0.0.0.0 which means I can’t access it via winbox. He probably made some nasty configuration error which rendered it useless to him.On my case, I’m optimistic that there’s some back door access to this thing if the reset button is inactive. I was hoping you guys can suggest? If I can just access the router and reset it back to default, then i can still make use of this thing. A new router is a bit hard in the pocket from where I live so…

You do not need IP to connect to Mikrotik.
Start Winbox, select “Neighbours” tab and wait for detected devices.
Click on MAC address, not IP, and try to connect.
MAC Telnet is one of most usable features of Mikrotik :slight_smile:

Update : I can’t access the router via Winbox. My plan is to reset it back to default settings. I tried Netinstall but still it can’t detect the router. So as my last resort, I opened it up to check for a Jumper Reset (as shown in the manual) but I couldn’t find it. Can someone help me find the Jumper Reset button please?
