I just wrote a script that updates URL, Username and Password of a free VPN service. I did this because they update their url & password every so often. I’m not ready to share this now, so let’s just keep this hypothetical)
Now I don’t want to connect without a VPN, so I set my scheduler to run the update script every second. But this isn’t very efficient and would mean there is the possibility (even tough only for a few seconds) I am connected with my own wan IP visible. How do I prevent this?
But then again wouldn’t it be much more efficient if I could trigger on pptp disconnect? is this possible?
any thoughts on this subject welcome.
