Hi,
i need to update this old Mikrotik that is in a very remote location.
I see only “downgrade” button in system/packages.
I put a 6.49 firmware in files and rebooted but it does not upgrade.
What can I do?

Mmm…5.16, that is 2012 I think.
Have you tried using netinstall?
I miss anyway the old firmwares… on Mikrotik site there is only version 6.
Probaby I need 5.25.
I’d contact support@mikrotik.com and ask about upgrade path.
Device is running ancient ROS version and IIRC there was a change in license format … so using netinstall to upgrade straight to 6.49.11 may cause loss of license. Also ancient routerboot firmware may need an upgrade before successfully running ROS v6 (which then allows upgrade of routerboot to contemporary version).
