Updated to 5.14 .. NEED DOWNGRADE IN HURRY

I tried copying the 5.12 files into FILES, and then the commande /system package downgrade .. it reboots my router but stay on 5.14 !
I also tried the certificate cache thing command first.. still the same thing !!

My problem is that the version I had before was 5.09, the wifi was really unstable !
So I upgraded to 5.14 .. the wifi seams OK now but my PPPOE connection it worse then you can imagine !!
I cannot be on the internet for more then 3 minutes before I have to disconect and reconnect the PPPOE connection !!

If there is a fix, I will give it a try but right now, I need to downgrade because I need my internet at home !!

please help !!i plugged an old BELL routeur to do the job in the mean time and it works perfectly with that one .. so the problem really is the Mikrotik !!

My Bell router is poor regarding the wifi ( No 802.11N ).

Please help !

I should habe wrote that I already tried that too !!
But anyway, the command /system package downgrade does the exact same thing !!
Still stuck with 5.14 !!

No one can help on either downgrading or solve my problem ?

download the version u want and reboot.

The 5.12 files need to be in the root file system, they cannot be in a sub-folder.

What do you mean ??
I transfered all the 5.12 files directly into FILES in WinBox , no sub folders !

/system package downgrade asked me to reboot, I rebooted the files were gone but still on 5.14 !!


Is there any stable version for PPPoE and Wifi that I can downgrade to ?
And show me how cause right now I really seam to be stuck on 5.14 which is REALLY buggy !!

I have 5.1 at the office on Mikrotik 493 but no wifi neither PPPoE !!

Please help, I cannot hold that Bell router any longer …

if nothing works…then the last option reinstall 5.12 via Netinstall..

What packages did you put in /files? Separate packages or all-in-one? Did you put correct platform packages? Downgrade worked for me several times. From 5.14 x86 also.

What does the log say?

seperate packages !! not the all in one !
Iguess Iused the right one but could find a link for legacy version on mikrotik website !

maybe someone could point me to the right download ???

Looks like I had the wrong package !! it worked :smiley:

I only hope all my problem will be solve with that version !!

The wifi is really poor/unstable with that router !! But that’s an other story !!

5.14 is working fine for us on over 90 routers. What problem did you have?

PPPoE client was always disonnecting !
Well, not really disconect, but the connectino stoped working around every 5 minutes !
I had to disconnect and reconnect the PPPoE client from RouterBoard !

Seams stable now with 5.12, and the wifi seams OK too !!

I had probleme with my wifi on 5.09 !!

I have PPPoE clients on 5.14 and there are no often disconnects.

Well, I reseted the router 3 times and retry .. always the same probleme !!
Now I downgraded to 5.12 with the exact same setup (I did not reset after) and it works flawlessly !!
