is it upgradable MT 2.9.38 to MT 3.beta.
I tried and uploaded it into router via ftp. But when i m trying to download in package list from ftp router get disconect.then we need to wait for a while to reconnect.
Anyone of u can help
When i upgrade my routers, I always use something like CuteFTP or WS_FTP. With these two programs i never had any issues.
dont even try to upgrade yet. wait for stable release. i tried it and is worse than anything i ever seen so far, even though i use mt for 2-3 years
I too used ws-ftp to upload beta v.3 version but i m able to upload thats not an issue but in system/autoupgrade- I m not able to see that uploaded packages.I refresh/tried to dounloads but not able to do.
Did you reboot after you uploaded?

ajmal, check the connection between the router and your PC, if router is located near to you, use netinstall or CD install to upgrade to 3.0
I encountered the same problems with when using ftp to upgrade a lab box from 2.9.38 to v3beta3 — the machine was damn near comatose (read: connections would only last a second or two and winbox didn’t want to.
Is there a sanctioned way [read: idiot’s guide to upgrading from 2.9.38 to 3.0beta4] of loading the beta for testing purposes for those who are salivating to have a kissing cousin of demo2.mt.lv other than CD or netinstall?

There is no any specific installation guides. 3 common methods exists Netinstall, CD, FTP package.
If you have encountered problem with the specific method, first of all check the logs for the possible errors, report to support information about used method, platform and errors. Make sure that you have used the latest available beta version.

I am trying netinstall,and we have 100Mbps OFC network in between router and client PC.
there is no issue of network connection,
may be MT 2.9.38’ upgrade option does not know MT 3.Beta4 is higher version than 2.9.38
I m getting error while upgrading “there is no newer/beta version available.”
whenever i uploaded 3.beta4 into ftp server of MT acan see in file optio of MT.

Are you using the netinstall for beta or .38? There are two different ones listed on http://www.mikrotik.com/download.html
We are running on MT2.9.38
and wants to upgrade 3.beta4
are you by chance using correct version, to need x86 or MIPS?
once in a while i mess them up.. 
a simple solution - check your LOG !
