Hi
Today we have a dual-nstreme ptp link. And we want to upgrade it for higher speed.
Its running 433AH whit R5H cards and Jirous dual antenna.
Should we,
A)
Run one R5Hn card and two chains instead? and switch to Bridge-StationBridge
B)
Run two R5Hn cards and only one chain and keep the dual-nstreme config?
C)
Add one jirous antenna and run two chains in R5hn cards in dual-nstreme? possible?
Looking for very high speed to our high ground mast. who is the distribution point for several city’s.
look at mimo 3x3, search in this forum, at screenshots troughtput is more than 300 mbps
Best will be B
if you have good signal to other end you should be able to send 90/90 mbps full duplex while in dual nstreme you have only 36 something
One more option:
D) Run two R5Hn cards (only one chain) with ROS v5 and NV2 with ospf balancing ! (more redundancy, more speed).
Mode must be AP-Station (you can use NV2 security)
Are you sure its more speed ?
I mean, with the same conditions (tx/rx rate: 54Mbps/54Mbps, CCQ 100%/100%) best real throughput with nv2 + ospf dual
and you are using by that 40mhz channel and roughly have 108 mbps
While using N you can have on same channel width 300 mbps
So where is more speed come from ?
addiditional question
Is it possible to use 2x R5hN on each side with RB433ah, 4 chains, or 4x4
Using dual polarity-dishes both sides?
How it’s beeing configured like bonding?
