Upgrade function in Dude

How do I get the upgrade function working in dude, I have tried to upgrade dude to the lastest version, but I can’t get it to show me any packages in the upgrade menu.
I have the package in files, is there any other things I have to do?

do you want to upgrade dude itself, or some RouterOS routers?

If you mean RouterOS:

  1. In Dude go to FILES and PACKAGES. There upload the NPK files for RouterOS upgrade

  2. make sure the package type corresponds to the router system type (MIPS or x86)

  3. right-click a router and choose upgrade.

  4. make sure you have provided a username and password for this router, and that it is recognized as a RouterOS device.

Thanks for the reply, my problem is that dude don’t recognize my RB112 as RouterOS.

When I enable the RouterOS checkbox under settings, the RouterOS tab appears, but it can’t get any information from the RB.

Should I use any particular services, or ???

Thanks in advance.

you must enable SNMP on the routeros

Hi Normis

I can get all the information I want via SNMP. (SNMP is enabled)

If I right click a device (RB112), select settings and look under RouterOS tab, I don’t get ip addresses, interfaces or anything else.

If I remove the device and discover the device again, the RouterOS checkbox under settings is not checked.

I don’t understand why dude doesn’t see my devices as routerOS devices.

Do you have any ideas ???

PPS. We are working on getting to Poland in January.

make sure that you have specified the correct user name and the password in the device settings. Then check again. What RouterOS version are you using?

Hi,

I am using dude version 2.0

I have routerOS version 2.9.24 , 2.9.28 and 2.9.35

I have solved the problem..

Reinstalled dude - and reset the configuration.
