Upgrade not booting

I’ve tried to upgrade one of my mikrotik boxes to 7.14.2 Stable (from 6.49.8 ) but I cant connect to it anymore.
I downloaded routeros-7.14.2-arm.npk, uploaded it to the files page using winbox and rebooted. Been a long time now but it still hasnt come back up on winbox.
Have I done anything wrong?

Product code RBLHGG-60ad
Architecture ARM 32bit

i’m afraid you have to netinstall and be it on site

Got over to it, looks like it deleted the wireless config and the uploaded files/backups. Still kept IP addresses/vlans and some of the extra config I added though…very strange

It looks to have lost the option to add wg60-station in the interface tab…
It added a loopback interface into the interface list instead.
Whats happened to this and how can I add it back?

Downgraded…back in business. Not doing that again!

There was a breaking change between 7.12 and 7.13 regarding wireless package: it used to be part of base package before but now it’s a separate package. If you use ROS built-in upgrade procedure (/system/packages/upgrade…), it’s required to go via 7.12 … if you upgrade by manually uploading npk files, you have to include wireless package (available in extras ZIP file).

Yes I was wondering if it was something like that. I downgraded and all the packages are back in. I did try adding all the packages and rebooting but didnt look to install them as the package list was still empty (although the files disappear from the file manager - assuming files in there arent persistant). Is there another way to manually upgrade the packages as well as the base?

When you upliaded all packages, ROS tried to install all. And probably ran out of flash space.

You can do the upgrade, but this time only upload routeros package (base package) and wireless package (from accompanying extras packages). Nothing more.
