Upgrade OS from 3.13 to 4.x

Hi to all,

I have an RΒ433 with OS version 3.13. The upgrade licence that it has is up to 4.x.
How can I upgrade the Miktoik OS to 4.x (x is for 9 or to maximum version?)?
Any advice will be helpfull.

Notes: 1) The network is using proxy server to get to the internet.
2) I want to upgrade the OS to use wireless connections with n protocol (R52n).

Hi Kotso,

  1. Backup your settings
  2. Download version 4 (http://www.mikrotik.com/download/routeros-ALL-4.0beta4.torrent)
  3. Ftp mikrotik
  4. Upload the new version
  5. Reboot mikrotik

The problem with this solution is that the download size of the torrent file file is 135Mb, which I do not have on RB433.
Do I have to ftp all of these files or some of them are only needed.

I inform that the test upgrade from 3.0 to 4.4 on an RB411 was succesfull :smiley:
I believe that I will not have problem with RB433.

just wanted to say that RouterOS-ALL torrent contains all the installations, MIPSBE, MIPSLE, PPC and X86, so you do not need to upload all the packages on the router anyway.
