Upgrade RB2011

Hello,
I tried to upgrade a RB2011L-IN to the RouterOS v6.42.3
The RB2011 was fine for a couple of years then the firmware was a bit old (v5+), which is why I thought it would be better to upgrade the RouterOS version.

I used the official package routeros-mipsbe-6.42.3.npk
I did it with a drag&drop of this firmware in the Files section with Winbox then a reboot

And now the RB2011 LEDs are blinking like a christmas tree (all 10 LED from ports 1-10) with the USR LED simultaeously
I tried to recover it with Netinstall configured + pushing the RESET button, with an Ethernet cable pluged to a Windows computer with Netinstall + the RB2011 to Eth1, but I can’t make the RB2011 appear in the Netinstall GUI, the bootp process does not work (and yes my firewall is disabled and static IP configured).
I tried also the RB2011 Eth10 port, not better

Any idea ? I can provide a short video or image to show the blinking mode

I’ve had some issues if you want to connect this low-level with an RB while having a virtualbox network adapter enabled. So, if you have oracle virtualbox installed, disable them and retry

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the feedback I disabled all network interfaces except the Ethernet one used to provide the Netinstall / BootP process.
And double checked that firwall was down

However it still fails when the RB2011 is booting after the RESET / 20sec process, Netinstall crashes with the following error message :
“ERROR / recvfrom failed : an existing connection has been closed by remote host (10054)”

Any idea ?
