i need to upgrade from L4 to L5 in RB750 gr3 routerboard?
You can create an account and then purchase an upgrade.
https://mikrotik.com/client/
But before you do so ... what is the purpose for this upgrade ?
RB750GR3 (= Hex) is still a nice device but depending on what you want to do, it might not be the right choice. And then it could be that license upgrade is wasted ...
I need to clarify, if there ability to upgrade mikrotik 750gr3 routerboard from L4 to L5 to support more 200-300 active hotspot user
Hi,
Isn't it better to invest in more powerfull L5 licensed router if you serve 300+ users?
Please do not start many topics on the same subject.
Closing that one as another exists: Upgrade RB750g r3 from L4 to L5 - #2 by holvoetn
Merged.
200-300 active hotspot users ... how much bandwidth in parallel combined or for each user ?
Bandwidth limitation being applied via queues ?
The hap ax3 is a lot more powerful than the hex and has an L6 license.
Yes a little dearer than the L5 license only, but...
Note: @holvoetn's reply above still stands (I have no idea if the hap ax3 is powerful enough for what you need)
Given the cost of a new upgraded license, I can't see any way to justify not getting a different router.
This would be especially true for the origianl RouterBOARD 750G (which if much more resource restrained than the newer RB750Gr3, but even it is not a "powerful" router.
Is the RB7050Gr3 handling the current 200 ok?
The hap ax3 has L6 which is more than the RB5000's L5. That's a stange exception (well perhaps not as strange as the L6 on the RB1100 where it was a software has no limits, but hardware resources will be the bottle neck before the software limits).
