Upgrade to 3.0 from 2.9.xx

I can’t upgrade to 3.0.

i tried upgrade rb500 and rb133c and both are death now…

rb’s are instaled on 30 meter towers and now i must do what?
netinstall ?
this is problem i have about 80 rb133c, 15 rb500 in my network… all licensed to 3.x

can you explain that, why upgrade doesn’t work ?

config of rb is , bridging, wlan on 5ghz (cm9), routing?

Same problem here. The 3.0 upgrade hosed two out of 30 AP’s. Had to console in and use netinstall.

what exactly happened?
what packages you uploaded to the board, how much free space you had?

Two different cases:

RB532a - Uploaded combined package. Ample space available. Rebooted and came up with a kernel panic.

WRAP board (x86) - exact same thing.

Wondering if maybe the package file is being corrupted at upload…

some solution
upgrade 3.0 works only from 2.9.50

i’ve tested od rb133 and 500

I’ve just updated my rb133c to 3.0, using the information posted here.

From 2.9.49 to 2.9.50, then to 3.0 and all works fine.

Performance still the same as 2.9.49… No problem.

Only CPU percentage jump from 2-8% to 100% every few seconds, but pratically nothing change in normal usage.

I just upgrade 2 of my RB192

One with no errors peeks a 100% at some times ( Ros 3 bug)
Buth the other one peeks at 100% fulltime and now is lost.

First upgrade from 2.9.48 to 2.9.50 and the 3.0

Will try power switch tomorrow (RB = 130km away)

Saw this too late. But tried it in lab before i do it on a
production system )).

This is what I see when booting and look via serial

Netinstalling 3.1 works.
