Upgrade to 4.4 problem

hello

i have a problem when upgrading my routers to 4.4 which is after upgrading to 4.4 all interface names return to default .

my routers are RB 493 v 3.20 .

i have about 40 routers waiting to upgrade . i need to know if there is any fix to this problem and if there are another problems

Do you have the latest firmware installed on the RouterBOARD?
/system routerboard print is to check, current firmware to upgradable.

There were just different names and after upgrade all of them are back to default?
What about rules, where interface name is involved, they are invalid or also changed settings to the default interface names?

the latest firemware is 3.20 the routerboard is RB493

after upgrading from 3.20 to 4.4 all Ethernet interfaces changed to default and because of that i can’t access the router throw it’s ip address
cuz the ip address is assigned to interface named for example public and after upgrade the interface name changed to ether1 so the ip will not be assigned to the interface and the interface name filed in ip address will show as unknown .

3.20 and 4.4 are RouterOS version. please check

/system routerboard print

for firmware version

routerboard: yes
model: “493”
serial-number: “198E01E94344”
current-firmware: “2.16”
upgrade-firmware: “2.23”

so is that mean i have to upgrade the firmware ??

yes, type

/system routerboard upgrade

ok after upgrading the firmware the problem still exist

and i facing another problem with RB192 routerbourds it can’t upgrade it to 4.4

so i upgrade my RB192 routers to 3.30 and it’s working fine
