I understand that some devices such as the CRS switches and WAP60G have smaller disks. I also understand that upgrades happen in RAM. I’m not interested in debating if this is good or bad or even why. My question is how do I do an upgrade? I normally upgrade a RouterOS devices by uploading the new package and rebooting. How do I upload to RAM? Or am I misunderstanding something? Also, these devices do not have access to the internet, only my internal network.
If you place the upgrade packages in the “flash” folder, that is permanent memory (which is small, so they probably won’t fit anyway). If you place them outside the “flash” folder, that is in RAM.
Hope this is what you were asking.
Well, that was super simple! Thank you very much. Worked like a charm.
