Router - SXT LTE 6 Kit
After i upgraded from ROS 6.49.17 (or something like that) to ROS 7.12 i can’t connect to winbox and i have no default getaway for my router anymore.
I need help connecting to my router or downgrading back to ROS 6
Update: i learned that i had to use netinstall. First i tried installing 7.15 but that didnt work. Then i chose 6.49 and it worked. My router is working again.
Anyone knows why ROS 7 doesnt work but 6 works?
Your SXT should work fine with v7. There’s a gotcha when netinstalling v7: you have to install optional package wireless, since 7.13 none of wireless driver packages are parts of base package (routeros).
There are some funny details when it comes to netinstall … e.g. sometimes some certain version of netinstall doesn’t work, but some older does. Nice thing is that you can run, say, netinstall 6.49.17 and select (and install) packages from 7.15.2 (but make sure you use right package architecture, e.g. mipsbe).
