Hello,
First of all good work in implementing something like so powerful stuff. ![]()
I have upgraded from WDS to CAPsMAN. I have quite a small environment 2 devices - RB951G-2HnD as CAPsMAN/CAP and Groove A-52HPn as CAP. Both devices are running v6.29.
Setup is very simple, currently didn’t do any hardening with certificates, as I’m testing right now. Both routers are connected trough unmangaed switch with ethernet cable, IPs are in same subnet. Everything works just well, but I have two issues. One quite important, one not so, but anyway issue.
1st, important one, everything works just well but if clients are connected to different CAPs they can’t reach each other. On other hand wired clients can reach both of them and vice versa. Is there any idea where to look? In WDS env. didn’t have such issue.
2nd, it looks like it negotiates with client’s, at least to some of them, with slower connection speeds, for example my laptop (Lenovo L series) reports connection speed as 65Mbps when I’m located 2m from Groove. Before upgrade I had connections speeds 135 or so. All speeds reported by Windows driver. But at least for CAPs I can see same speed in “registration table” too. What about channel with? I have read somewhere in forums that if I like to have 40mhz, I have to set like I did - Width 20mhz and ext. channel Ce, band 2ghz-b/g/n.
P.S. I’m not experienced with ros and it’s configuration, so it is possible there are some stupid errors. If it is needed to see some setup, I suppose so, please let me know, and I would appreciate if you tell me/write how to get that info too ![]()
