Upgrading and moving configuration

I currently have a 3.0 beta8 Dude server. I would like to move to a RouterOS (3.15, no configuration other then dhcp-client) x86 3.0 rc3 Dude server.

My first attempt at moving was to export from the old server to the new one - this causes the lockup issue. Once the configuration was uploaded I drop connection and the Dude will not start on a reboot. To fix this I disable the dude package, reboot, enable the package, reboot and I am back with no configuration.

My second attempt was to install 3.0 beta8 on my local PC and move the configuration to it. I then updated to 3.0 rc3. Everything was working at this point. Now when I attempt to import the exported configuration from my local PC’s 3.0 rc3 I get the lockup issue once again.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to move to this new server? My guess is that the configuration XML is done differently on Windows/Wine then that of RouterOS’. There must be an easier way to move servers other then to manually do the hundreds of devices and links on there, but that seems to be my only option I can come up with!

Close this post - it just takes ~20 minutes to do the configuration…

I have a Intel Pentium 667 with 512MB of memory if anyone else runs into this.
