I´ve just replaced an RB750 with it´s original RouterOS 4.11, and I wonder if I could upgrade it to a newer version.
I intend to keep it only as a backup in case the new device fails, as it really can´t handle the traffic we currently have; so I am more concerned about whether it will be compatible and perhaps run better than it did (it ran very very well by the way) that I am about it´s (in)security running and old version.
A full reconfiguration will take time and I don´t have much of that these days, so I’d rather do it only if it is really worth the trouble.
