I’ve inherited about a dozen RB532 with 3 ethernet ports and some with the six port daughterboard.
On the routers I checked so far the licensing date as long expired. I’ve been told I can get to 3.22 without paying additional licensing. Since MT changed licensing in the 2.9.x releases. Is this true?
If it is how can I do it?
Most/All of these routers are 2.9.x.

If they are 2.9, you can use Netinstall to upgrade them to v3. See this tutorial:
I successfully upgraded to 2.9.51 then 3.22 on one RB532
However on another RB532 the netinstall process gets to status Ready. I click Install, “Installing” briefly shows then the Status goes back to Ready. Rinse and repeat.
The Bootloader on this one is version 1.9.
Strange..closed NetInstall and tried again…worked.
