Upgrading RouterOS and User Manager on the same RB

Hi

I have a RB that runs hot spots and a radius server. The only way for me to log into that router is via the hot spot. Thus, when upgrading the RouterOS, the radius server (user manager) dies, because of the discrepancy in versions. Then I cannot log into the router anymore. How do I upgrade RouterOS and User Manager simultaneously, without logging myself out? Its a very remote site…

Would appreciate any advice.

upload ROS and UserManager packages to router, then reboot. what discrepancy are you talking about?..

go to System/Packages
See which packages you don’t need, the Uninstall them (not just disable), reboot
That will also give you some more space.

Then when you upgrade, download the update with all packages seperate, then only copy (ALL) packages that are in the System/Packages list, reboot. No Problem.
