Upgrading RouterOS remove configuration?

Hi everyone
I can’t seem to find a post about this. I’m running a Pentium based PC wit hRouterOS 3.3 on and would like to upgrade to 3.6. Now if I do continue with the upgrade will it remove my custom configurations like Hostpots/RADIUS/VLANs/Routes etc.?

Thanks!

no, your configuration will stay the same. use this upgrade method:

Thanks for the reply!

Hey everyone

So I upgraded the RouterOS and apparently the “Combined Package” does not have all the packages in that “All Packages” have in causing my User-Manager not to be upgraded. (Couldn’t access is over the web).

Downloaded the “All PAckages” pack and upgraded using it, now everything installed but my user database is lost for all my customers who need internet access. Any idea why or if I can retrieve the database? We don’t have a backup (dont ask)

Thanks in advance

jeansieb, unfortunately then you need to create User-Manager configuration from the beginning.

it is not possible to recoved the database if it is lost and you don’t see the data under the usermanager menus.
How did you upgrade?
In upgrade process the database file is not deleted. How big was your database?

I did the method suggested above. Wasn’t to big, about 30 users, but is just such a drag creating them all agoin now.
