Upgrading RouterOS via Dude

I’ve looked at a couple of posts regarding upgrading the networked elements in the dude (running Router OS) but haven’t really found a ‘how-to’.

I’ve got a bunch of systems (x86 and RB532s) and I can’t seem to find ‘how to use the upgrade/force-upgrade feature’ in the Dude.

Auto-upgrade referencing from one router to the other didnt work for some reason. Help!!

Add the packages to files and then you will see the package on the upgrade menu…

Best regards

Yep…Figured it out some time ago. Thanks for the info.

Does ‘Force Upgrade’ let one downgrade a box? I don’t quite get the difference between ‘Upgrade’ option and ‘Force Upgrade’

‘Force Upgrade’ will let you upgrade router even if you don’t have all
packages that are installed on router added to the Dude.

I uploaded the routeros-rb500-2.9.40.npk files and the separates files too, but when I clik with the right mouse button to a device in the upgrade or forca upgrade menu there is nothing. Whne on the device menu try upgrade to 2.9.40 nothing happened. What do I miss? Need configure something on rb-s?

And what happened with te missing packages? No upgrade or disabled them?

Hi,

I too am having this issue, when I right click on a Mikrotik and select upgrade, there is nothing there.
I have loaded all the packages into the Packages section of Dude, and they show up.

I’ve also tried just using the complete packages, and this does not show up.

I’ve attached a pic.
