Upgrading Software Problem

I’ve got MT units running. I just got the newest version 2.9.42 for the one I just bought and wanted to upgrade anotherone that I bought last November that is running 2.9.27. I transfered the files to it and can see them but they are not updating when I reboot the computer. What am I doing wrong? I’ve even tried having the old box download the files from the new one, which it does, but still doesn’t install it on reboot…
Thanks

then try netinstall

Make sure the files are the right platform and are good. How was the transfer done? WinBox or binary ftp? Check the log after reboot to see if a package was bad. I stopped using Netinstall after having 10,001 versions on my dev PC.

PS - Still miss physdrivewrite…

physdiskwrite will kill your license.

use netinstall if you have a purchased license.

I used Winbox to transfer the files. It’s really weird becase the same files I transfered worked great on another box I upgraded.
Let me ask a dumb question. I’ve got a 2.9.42 install disk. If I export the key couldn’t I just reformat the drive and then import the old key? This thing has been acting weird anyway. :open_mouth:
