I have a PC running RouterOS Version 3.0 Beta 6. I’ve never upgraded RouterOS before.
I downloaded the new Version 3.0 Beta 7 from here: http://www.mikrotik.com/download.html
I followed the directions for upgrading from here: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Upgrading_RouterOS
The package file shows up in the file list in RouterOS, but when I reboot nothing changes, it’s still Version 3 Beta 6.
How do I upgrade. Seems simple enough, but the directions provided aren’t working for me.

Never mind answered my own question. The Microsoft FTP program must have not uploaded it right. It was listed and showed to be good in the Files section of Mikrotik router, but wouldn’t upgrade. I deleted and re-uploaded using Filzila and it upgraded this time.

what is lincese level you have for your pc-router, or just demo key...?
as far as i remember, when are you use demo key, you are can't upgrade to next version, but you can reinstall with next version

Just to buy the cheap M/T RouterOS and upgrade and/or downgrade your M/T ROS to the version you like.
