upload is been eaten

dear all

my upload bandwidth is 512k, from yesterday its been eaten.
i made a Torch for all the network and found that users are using more bandwidth than that of the given to them . and there is an ip at the source :255.255.255.255 and destination ip 0.0.0.0 is taking the top bandwidth amoung all.

any help?

why dont you drop all packets with source 255.255.255.255 to destination 0.0.0.0…add a simple firewall rule..

Asad

i would create rule that would drop ANY bogon IPs coming in public interface

better you torch in detail. click on the port and protocol to find out what is the problem. I agree with janisk, to firewall the sourde ip, but it looks better if we know the port first, maybe its kind of trojan…

Thx
