Hi all. Anyone have succesfull experience running dlna server and player in different subnets?
If player and server are in same subnet I can see both server and player from my iphone and android phones but when server and player not in the same subnet I enabled pim and can see only dlna server from phones and even can’t reach server from playstation. As far as I can see igmp traffic exists ib both subnets but I think that is problem with some kind of UDP (SSDP?) traffic which is not forwarded between subnets. Is it real to make such config work?
In my experience DLNA devices use multicast (usually mdns) to announce said DLNA device to other devices on the same L2 segment so doubtful that L3 is a possibility.
