UPS system with car battery (70AH) for the Mikrotik AP...

Good day…

Dear Buddy…
just wonder know, what’s the UPS system you using for, let say 30 unit’s RB411AH+R5hn wireless card???

I try to make us the 2KVA UPS connect with 2 unit 70Ah Car Battery, but the UPS frequent spoiled and i believe this due to when the UPS charge the Battery and overload become it faulty.

Appreciate if you can share how you extend you back-up power.

one more thing, if the UPS cannot work well, how can we use the rectifier work as UPS?

thanks.

The use of car batteries is not recommended for UPS you need deep cycle batteries as car batteries are not designed to withstand frequent deep cycle discaharges and damage very quickly.

The issue i facing now is the UPS instead of the Battery…
Thus, how can we make use of the AC-DC rectifier to work as UPS…

appreciate that…

What type or make of UPS do you currently use, is it pure sinewave or modified (square wave) output when running on batteries.

Hi…
how i going to check on this?

need some tool to view it?

the model i use is the ..

NP-BP2K0E with the GP-NS70 battery…

Beside this, i am looking on the Inverex 2000i which come with more higher ampere charges, and refer to the technical spec, the waveform of it is “Modified Sinewave”.

would you mind to tell me more what’s the related above the Sinewave while i doing the research on it.

thanks…

Avoid “Modified Sinewave” as they produce a nasty squarewave voltage when running on batteries, use pure sinewave UPS there are more expensive but much better.
