I have the following config :
MainRouter ---- Bandwidth Manager (BM) ---- switch for distribution
My BM have 2 ethernet (1 to main router, 1 to switch). My main router is connected to the rest of the network through BM (BM is configure bridging on 2 interface). I am using RouterOS 2.9.51
Everything is working fine until i added Vlan on my Mainrouter. Client that access the network using vlan, the bandwidth is not limited on the BM. When i analyse the BM, the traffic actually went through it (let’s say 10 mb real time traffic), but when i try to torch the traffic on downlink ethernet, i could only see traffic 8 mb (because 2 mb went throught the vlan). Seems like the traffic from my client to my main router, although it passed through the physical layer of my BM, but logically it bypass the interface. But the weird thing is the mangle is working. I mangle my client with ip 10.0.23.2, i could see the mangle is working, but i couldn’t limit the bandwidth and when i torch on BM, i couldn’t find the traffic.
I tried :
Add vlan (with the same ID as vlan on Mainrouter) to the BM, bridge the vlan with the rest of the interface.
Result : traffic cannot pass through the BM to client
Any suggestion?
