Mikrotik doesn’t have anything to do with it. The Ubiquiti XR3.7 cards are only authorized (currently) for use between 3650 and 3675 in the US. In a nutshell it is still a CSMA radio. Not even Motorola, Alvarion, or others are shipping unrestricted access systems in the US - there is no demand for it.
We are using the XR3.7 as well. The only thing that the FCC was interested in was the radio card and antenna. The only snag we had was that foreign border facing antennas have to be 56K away in a 180 degree arc. We’re in Toledo and hit the Canadian border by.2K in the middle of Lake Erie; we made some adjustments and got our approval from the FCC.
