I remember this Valero Torres page. This was available even before I bought the module. Maybe one year ago. Now I am not sure if his firmware is newer or older than the one I have in the module already. Also, he has 3 files… Active software, passive software, firmware. To be honest, I have no idea what for 3 files are used.
Is it easy to upgrade?
I posted the link for comparison. With only one SFP in my router I don’t feel comfortable loading another firmware. Yet. I leave it to other guys in this thread
No significant difference between all three files. First firmware is a factory generic. Second and third have firmware version names tailored for Orange ES.
In my opinion to solve the issue - put yourself in the middle. 1. Install tcpdump on OP151S. 2. login to OP151S 3. capture traffic on the sfp interface. 4. look for VLANS and PPPoE data.
Thank you for your explanation, so there is more is involved than simple re-flash. It's easy to get this module bricked when messing with a firmware. I did it again this weekend not going to risk it anymore, got a brand new G-010S-P from a local bussiness. It is running hardcoded Alcatel omci manager and parser. Had to uncomment couple lines to switch to a generic omci daemon to receive IP address. Edit the file /etc/init.d/omcid.sh if you run into similar problem (O5 received but no IP address)
where did you buy this SFP module? I see it has many options. Did you buy it like this or you installed this firmware in it and can this be installed in zisa op151s? Please jelp with some info or link where this is available to buy.
I have found some new SFP module to buy and it has the same interface like DFP-34G-2C2 . Please take a look…
I have seen in this thread someone had an experience with this kind of module. Please, can someone confirm if this kind of module works or not. I need IPTV, Telephony and Internet (last two things are delivered via different VLANs)
Anyone know how I could do IGMP forwarding (multicast) with this Openwrt-based stick? I have a Sercomm and it worked fine but this Openwrt-based one fromm Nokia doesn’t
Use the normal clamp and place some very thin pins on the pliers.
It works with the chip soldered on the board, I can read and write. Happy !!
I use the programmer CH341A for my chip
Also have another programmer “minipro” but need to update and be more expensive and will have to wait to be updated, for now I am working with the CH341A.
I would like to expand the menus and improve the firmware but I am not an OpenWrt expert just a baby of Linux and have no knowledge of an expert, so I am limited. Now I look more confident and be able to open a new discussion in the OpenWrt forum.
In case of breaking something I can start over again
All this would not have started if mikrotik had finished its SFP GPON ONU which seems to be a shame that the product is discontinued.
Maybe with a simple stick update job it would have been enough
It would be a great product if they were back to support and new modules .
Maybe someone from mikrotik could read this great thread and see the needs of the Users
Hi, I have problems with my ONT Alcatel-Lucent O-010S-P, I can’t even connect by SSH. I have tried 192.168.1.10, among others, but there is no ping.
Does anyone know this model, and if it is compatible?
Hi everybody. I’m also interested in replacing a Movistar router by a Mikrotik hex S and sfp module. I could get one UGP-N1S GPON like mention above. Hope it will work.
Does anybody know if it’s possible to use this configuration for ipv6 too? So for my understanding over the gpon stick a pppoe connection is initiated and I get a IP address?
I am trying to replace my huawei router for a long time. I own ZISA OP151s but it doesnt work for me. Can You, please, let me know if the module You showed here works for You? Can You attach some web interface photos?
