USB Tethering

I have a couple customers who are stuck using cellular networks for their internet access. But they would like to use a router for printers and just generally having a more powerful wifi signal. I thought of using a Mikrotik. I have a hAP ac lite sitting around and decided to try it. Only one problem, in Interfaces it does not show anything. But if I check the system Resources, it does see the USB connection, but not the LTE portion. I can tether it to my laptop and it works, so I know it is not the device. Is there something I need to change in the router to get it to connect? It is running 6.46.1. Any pointers would be appreciated.

System resources only lists devices connected … and names are taken from pci id database (a local copy is standard part of any linux distribution since at least two decades ago). But as popular proverb goes (If a physician knows the name for it, it doesn’t mean he knows how to heal it), displaying name in system resources doesn’t mean that particular ROS version ships with driver for that device.
