Usb to DC plug

Hi,

would it be possible to power up any RB from a laptop solely by using a usb to 5V DC plug similar to the ones on this page:

standard USB port is rated for 5V/500mA, i.e. 2.5W, so you going to need upconverter to 9-10V. It might theoreticaly work with small boards like RB750, but still i think it’s not enough power.

Is it possible to buy such an upconverter somewhere on the internet or only build this oneself?
