USB to Serial connection not workin

Stupid question but how do I connect to a Mikrotik 411AH using a USB to Serial like this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/StarTech.com-ICUSB232-USB-to-Serial-Adapter-Cable/13215732?sourceid=1500000000000003142050?

Obviously the male connector won’t link with the male connector on the router, so do I need to buy a female coupler or what else do I need to properly connect to the router?

You need to get an actual female to female serial cable.

You need a Null-Modem cable. They are the equivilent of a crossover cable for Serial.
