USB to USB

So the newer routers are all coming with a USB connector instead of a serial port. My laptop has never had a serial port. I have a USB to Serial adapter that I use to connect to all my RB4xx series devices. Do I now need 2 USB to Serial adapters to connect my laptop to a MikroTik router with a null modem between them or is there a more graceful way to connect my laptop to one of the newer routers that only provide a USB interface?

I don’t think this will work.
The USB interface on the RouterBoards is only meant for flash drives, so they can be used as storage for logging or proxy.

also for gsm modem connection.

The Mikrotik DOES support putting a console on a USB serial port:

Serial and USB ports can also be used to:

connect 3G modems;
connect to another device through a serial cable
access device connected to serial cable remotely.

…My question is, is there a more graceful solution than 2 USB to serial adapters with a null modem in between? Does anyone sell a single USB to USB cable with serial ports and null modem embedded into the molded connector or something?

Hrmmm…

…Now just to buy 2 of them and wire them together inline as a null modem…
