I was hired recently in a company as an IT support.
the eployees access internet through mikrotik routerOS.
the network range is 192.168.40.X and the IP of the mikrotik PC is 192.168.40.1 … So when i first came here i figured out that all emplyees can access internet..once a new employe hired 2 days ago i assigned him the IP address lets say 192.168.40.33 and the gateway 192.168.40.1 (this is similar to all other computers).
the problem is he cant access internet.. i know that this is an issue of mikrotik and i think related to firewall in specific . so i need to get the right configuration so this employee and other new employees can access internet..

Are you certain there is not a dhcp server on that localnet? You should check “/ip dhcp-server” for that interface.
If not, then you should post “/ip firewall filter”.
