I was wondering, is it good to setup an User Forum on my hosted website?
It would help me gathering info about customers thoughts, but i’m a little afraid to make users able to talk each others.
Anyone got experiences on it?
Of course i will moderate that forum, aiming to be good as Normis is…
Okay Normis, now give me the L4 license you promised me
You might want to start with a FAQ solution and allow people to ask questions via a web contact form, then see what new questions are posted. The issue always comes that if one person gets poor service they will rant about it and I guess you are scared this will affect others buying choices. You could make your forum only available to existing customers, expect critics that is normal, the rick is to respond to them fairly accurately and with no animosity. Then your other customers will be impressed and may well help you out. If a forum gets busy then you may well have a lot of work cut out, but likewise if the forum can help answer questions that otherwise would have taken up your time you will be thankful
