User loss

Hello, guys, what’s up?

I’m brazilian, then I don’t speak english very well, forgive me for that.

It’s my first post in this forum, I’m a beginner in the Mikrotik, and I’m seeking for help.

I has instaled a RouterOS v 5.22 in Dell T210, like a BGP. But, users settings are lost some minutes after configuration. Just user settings are lost, routes and firewall settings remain intacts. I don’t know why.

Can someone help me?

Thanks a lot.

How do you connect to the router, and which configuration did you apply specifically? How did you determine that user settings are lost? Which configuration method did you use, and what command did you enter?

I connect to router by winbox. I use the menu System-> Users to add a user. I create a user, I define username and pass, but after some minutes, trying login, winbox shows “wrong username or pass”. I enter again, using user admin and pass empty. In Sytem -Uers, there are not other users, just admin user.

The bug you are facing, is different. The window where you create the new user, is ignoring the password input. This is fixed in newer RouterOS versions. You can work around the problem by adding the user with no password, then opening it for editing, and adding the password then.

Thanks, buddy. I did what you suggested, but the bug persists. The user is deleted.

I remember: the windows keep their position, always are the same window of winbox, always in the same position.

NTP server is normal. I don’t know if it matter.

Hey, guys.

I did not do anything, but the problem vanished. Someone know something about that?
