The MT Router User-Manager is running on, the client router and the user’s CPE are all set to local time (presently GMT+13) by NTP but User-Manager’s session times all seem to be GMT.
Given that I need to close off the month’s records at midnight tonight in order to avoid March’s sessions running over into April this isn’t very helpful.
Any idea where User-Manager gets it times from and why it should be different to the system’s?
It’s not obvious to me why a User-Manager customer should want to set a different time zone to the local one, and I don’t even want to start wondering what would happen if a customer set a different time zone to his subscriber, or two customers with access to the same database set different time zones. I’ll just put it down to one of those delightful little Mikrotik foibles that will forever keep administering Mikrotik an esoteric art.
