User Manager general problems

We have User Manager running in a virtual server environment on a real hardware server.

We occur regular problems:

  • Multiple session on different workstation do collide with eachother.
  • User Manager is sometime slow in opening
  • User Manager is sometimes not accepting changes in users (clients) Several repeated clicks on the ‘save’ button are needed.
  • User Manager sometimes denies clients that have been connected before to connect again. Sometimes just a disable and re-enable is needed. Sometimes we have to erase the user completely from the database and make a new client with the same credentials to make it work.

We would have thought that after so many years the package would have matured by now but to be honest I think it is still full with bugs and it needs a big engine (powerfull PC) to run it for only 750 clients?

Any better/worse experiences to share?
I am about to dump the package in all since its not doing the task we would expect it to do…

I want to know this kind of experience too. I`m thinking to swap freeradius by userman. But seems like not really for production use (still).

Using it in ccr1036 with great succes for hotspot and wireless. +800 clients.
