user manger run on computer (and not on RB?)

hello
is it possible to make the user-manager for hotspot run as a software on the computer ?
use the computer cpu\resources?
something like “Dude”?
I’m afraid that RB is not strong enough,and maybe on the computer it will run faster?

Hi David. You might want to look into a version of RADIUS designed for a computer. I use FreeRADIUS with Linux and an Apache/PHP server, and it is much more flexible than User Manager, but not quite as user friendly.

You can use PHP to access the radius (MySQL) database in the server. That makes automating some processes easy, like adding users.

and is it hard to learn how to use it?

all I want to be able to do is -

  1. add\remove users
  2. make 5 differences “plans”\profiles (3 hours,unlimited,1G max…)
  3. do all kind of statistics once a week\month

so maybe the user-manager is good for this ?
