RouterOS is something new to me, I’ve just started digging into it, sorry if such questions were already answered (I searched the forum, though).
I’d like to know the simplest way to get notifications (let’s say, via e-mail) on some events from log file without using 3rd-party tools (e.g., Syslog/SNMP monitoring etc.).
In particular, I want to track events when WAN port (ether1 in my case) is down or when IP address was changed (it’s dynamic in my case).
What options do I have?
Netwatch and scripts and email of logs - send stuff to whatsapp or telegram etc…
Clearly though if its your wan connection that goes down, you wont be getting messages (you need a device on the outside looking at the wanip etc…)
