user sign up in user manager

Hello,
I am trying to implement the user sign up on user manager, i have done every other thing except to identify where the smtp server is located. As such, when i check my log files after trying to creat a user, i get a system error message thus:Error sending e-mail:error connecting to server.

Besides this problem, userman is working very well to my needs .

You configure the mailserver at “/tool e-mail”.
The user-manager is taking the same server for sending out e-mails.

thanks.. but how do i go about configuring a mailserver?

i have a mail server set up now…

I also have a hotspot log- in page for clients… How does a customer bypass the log-in page and get directed to http://routerIP/user?signup=PublicID.

Without these datails, we cant proceed to use the sign up method.

I stii cant move forward… any help for me?
I have set up a mail server and each time my clients who have a yahoo mail address sign up, they never get an activation e-mail. when i check my mail server lo this is what i get …

Can normis, kindly explain to me how to go around this?

Also when i upgraded to ver 2.9.34, the log i get in MT is as follows:



manager error info—failed to add ucredit:custid:userid,crnum are not unique… but it goes on to add the user with unlimited time…wheras the customer has a public id and a time of 5 minutes to allow sign on.

What can i be doing wrong?
