My userman is not working correctly. One of the macs are set to only download 500mb of data but at the moment the user have download 813mb.
He will only be removed when the router is rebooted. Or when there is a reconnrection of the mac. But if that does not happen then the users can download gigs of data without being blocked. Can i set something to check that when the user get to 500mb that he is disconnected from the radius server?
Im using version 3.26 and im using wireless option in radius.
Traffic limitations do not work with wireless/radius. Only with HotSpot/PPP.
Thats bad, why did tey add it to radius then.
Thanx for the answer
Radius is a generic protocol, having many attributes. Which attributes are supported, depends on Radius client (Wireless/HotSpot/PPP). In particular case, wireless supports username (MAC address), speed rate limitations and uptime limits, but does not support download/upload limitations.
I realize it doesn’t work with wireless/Radius and it does work with PPP/Radius and Hotspot/Radius. What about it working on DHCP/Radius? I have that and session data doesn’t seem to be tracked nor does a user seem to ever be marked as being active. However, traffic limitations such as TX/RX speed and Burst works.
