Usermanager Disk Space requirements

Mikrotik guys or anybody else, could you please advise recommended disk space requirements for user manager. I am just about to purchase L6 license to use as a basic central admin system for hotspot users, and I need to get an idea of how much disk space will be consumed, and if there is anyway to clean up old logs etc. Obviously once I buy the licence I am stuck with the size disk I have chosen because of the licensing method. I want to use VMWare to host it so if I have any hardware failures I can move the image to another server and start it up.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks
Paul

Paul, it is impossible to calculate exact space requiremets.
E.g. one of the other routers running configuration is:

  • 15 customers;
    ~ 3500 users;
    ~ 14000 sessions;
    ~ 25000 log entries;
    12 routers, 25 credits.
    User Manager database size is ~ 6.2MB. 64MB should be enough for time for our location.
    128 MB should be enough for long time (few years).

Thanks a lot Sergejs, so I think the 4Gb I have allocated should be sufficient :slight_smile:

Also, do you know if I buy a LEvel 5 license, can I upgrade to Level 6 ?
I have tried to upgrade an existing Level 5 license in the license management section of your website, but it says it has all the features and can’t be upgraded, but I’m wondering if I can start with a L5 license (10 concurent user manager sessions) and then upgrade to L6 when I have the demand and need more concurrent sessions.

Thanks
Paul

No, license upgrade is not possible (from 5 to 6), you have to purchase level6.
