Usermanager only works in localhost

i have setup like this

remote AP + HOTSPOT connected over l2tp tunnel to my local box on which i run USERMANAGER , and problem is that Usermanager only works in localhost (tested using pppoe and hotspotuser ) but form remote box when i add to radius client my usermanager ip + secret (added that router to my usermanager setup) it doesn’t work, it shows RADIUS not responding, and timeouts.

any ideas what that could be

these forum was very helpfull, all i get here was , if u can’t do it your self , why bother someone else

Start by verifying IP connectivity. Ping the user manager router from the RADIUS client. Use Torch on the target to check that the external IP is what you’re expecting it to be.
Then check secrets again. Then check the firewall on the server to make sure you’re permiting RADIUS inbound.

i manage to make it work somehow, i think it was NAT problem

there should be told in guide that User Manager may not be behind NAT (masq) or any NAT , because on endpoint it doesn’t work.
