I am using Usermanager ver 3.3. I want to move my installation from an x86 machine to an RB1000. The Database is 124MB. I have installed 8GB CF card in the RB1000
Question:
How can I restore this database to the new installation of Usermanger on the RB1000 and use the CF card as the location of the Database
First you will want to install the compact flash card and make it available via System–>Stores. Then you can open a terminal in the old router and use the export command like this /tools user-manager export filename=um_backup. Then you can go to Files and drop and drag the file named um_backup.rsc onto your desktop. Open the file with notepad and copy and paste the contents into the new router via a terminal window. Then you will want verify that the database was transferred and that it is being stored in the correct place.
