It doesn’t depend on the hardware, it depends on the license level. You can upgrade to a higher license level to increase user count.

Licenses are tied to the hard drive, on in case of RouterBOARDs to the NAND chip for internal storage, so you cannot move the license afterwards. Choose wisely which board you upgrade. It might make more sense to run User Manager and the Hotspot on different hardware so you can get the most out of the license. On the other hand, a level 6 license is only $250, so depending on the revenue you’ll make you might not care.

so, in conclusion, i cannot upgrade my RB433AH license to level 6, no?

Yes, you can. I’m not sure where I was unclear. You can upgrade your 433 to level 6 no problem.
However, is a 433 really going to be able to handle more than 50 concurrent associated clients?

i’m deploying WDS, so i use 433AH for authentication, firewall and gateway because i need to put it on a pole and that was the most cost effective solution. In rest i use other equipments.

I dunno.
I got 67 on an RB333, but then a 3Mb/s service is enough to make your googles water here in Spain.

heh…my client intent to stick a FO link in that, so 100 Mb/s link in metro and perhaps 20-30 Mb/s outside only at 80-100 EU/month in Romania.
btw: you got 67 users on aa level 5 license??

you got 67 users on aa level 5 license

Sorry. I meant 67 permanent users on the AP - not in the database.

I use FreeRadius so there isn’t a soft limit on # of users.
