I have a small home network with three access points and two routers, plus some switches.
I am planning to do some significant restructuring of the VLANs, and at the moment I have the problem that (it feels like) every time I make a change to the routers it has the effect of restarting and reassociating access points, which annoys my family. I’d like to run the CAPSman function (with local switching, so no performance implications other than handling registration and de-registration) on a distinct Mikrotik router which I’m not fiddling with.
Can a RBmAPL-2nD, which is tiny and very cheap, run as a CAPSman manager? I wouldn’t need its wireless, just “small standalone device which runs RouterOS”.
