We have a bunch of reversed polarity power supplies that Canopy uses and the other day I accidentally used one on a mikrotik router. It came up fine for several minutes while I programmed the router before I realized what I had done and unplugged it. But it got me thinking, would it be ok to use these out in the field? The router has not exhibited any problems since I did that.
A better solution would be to create a power crossover cable so that the correct polarity is in being used. All you have to do is swap the blues and the browns. A straight through cable would be as follows:
Normal Pin-Out
White Orange
Orange
White Green
Blue
White Blue

White Brown

With Power Reversed
