Using the Beta in production

I know, I know! but… If I were to put the beta version onto a router in production would I later be able to upgrade to the Stable Release version? or do you have to “vape the router from orbit” and start again… maybe there are not answers to these questions

I guess I do not understand your question correctly.
If you can install 3.0beta5 version, then upgrade to 3.0 stable release will be possible, when 3.0 will be released, as well you can downgrade to 2.9.
We recommend to perfrom test on required features before installing it in production.

Thanks, you did understand my question and I understand the risks. So I will be able to keep my licence on my RB532 if I upgrade to the Beta and then revert to 2.9 angain?

Yes, RB500 license should stay untouched during upgrades/downgrades.

Excuse me for unprecise information, license should stay untouched for all system during upgrade for routers allowed to upgrade to 3.x.
